We are excited about helping students of all ages achieve the many benefits our program offers through Martial Arts, self defense and personal development. Students are open to an exhilarating power of values taught at our school with our award-winning age appropriate curriculums for Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced students.

At our academy, we are more than just a kick and punch school! We are A FULL LIFE SKILLS & PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. The focus of our martial arts curriculum for students is vigorously designed in conjunction with experts in the field of education to provide social, physical, emotional, and attitude growth. We provide many resources for the families at our school for the betterment of our students growth. We are C.I.S.D. and M.I.S.D. certified for students wanting to earn P.E. credits through our school.

Karate of The Woodlands offers the following Martial Arts and self-defense programs:
Krav Maga - Krav Maga is a military self-defense system developed by Israel that consists of a combination of techniques sourced from Boxing, Wrestling, Jujutsu, Aikido, Judo, along with realistic fight training. Krav Maga is known for its focus on real-world situations.

Korean martial art incorporating fighting principles from subak (as described in the Kwon Bup Chong Do), as well as northern Chinese kung fu.[1] The techniques of what is commonly known as Tang Soo Do combine elements of shotokan karate, subak, taekkyon, and kung fu.

Judo - Judo is considered a modern martial art. The goal of Judo is to take down an opponent to the ground and immobilize or pin them. Judo is an Olympic sport.

Tae Kwon Do - Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art, characterized by its emphasis on head-height kicks, jumping and spinning kicks, and fast kicking techniques.

Tang Soo Do - Tang Soo Do is a Korean martial art incorporating fighting principles from subak as well as northern Chinese kung fu. The techniques of what is commonly known as Tang Soo Do combine elements of shotokan karate, subak, taekkyon, and kung fu.

All instructors are certified Adult United Fighting Arts Federation Black Belt professionals by Chuck Norris, World Professional Karate Champion and 1st member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame. Mr. Rick Prieto, the program director, is an 8th degree Black Belt, who has worked and trained with Chuck Norris for over 40 years. All Students receive a signed certificate by Mr. Norris after joining and are invited to his annual convention held every year in July. Mr. Norris refers to his system as "Chun Kuk Do" which means "The Universal Way." He has taken the best martial arts systems from around the world and combined them into one system, so students may learn the best techniques from each style.
