· HIGHEST QUALITY TREATMENT. Dr. Leiker uses only the best quality appliances for your orthodontic treatment. He evaluates and researches the new technology as it becomes available. Much of the new technology is strictly marketing ploys that do not add much or any value to the actual treatment of the patient but do add to the cost to the patient. Some of the new technology that does contribute to better patient care are:
1) Roth Orthodontic Technique
A functional occlusion approach to orthodontic treatment, which means that it is a much more extensive diagnostic approach in evaluating the proper jaw position (TMJs), facial profile, and periodontal (gums and bones) health than traditional orthodontic techniques.
- Articulated orthodontic models – models of the teeth along with jaw registration records are used to evaluate proper jaw position for each individual patient. Less than 10% of orthodontists today do this additional evaluation!
- Computer-aided diagnostic treatment plans – digital photos and x-rays are imported into a computer which can then be used to project future growth, treatment outcomes, and different treatment options. Less than 33% of orthodontists today do this additional evaluation!
2) In-Ovation “R” & “C”
Self-Ligating Brackets create less friction for tooth movement as the teeth slide along the orthodontic wires. This leads to:
- Faster tooth movement
- Fewer appointments required
- Shorter treatment times
- Less patient tooth discomfort
3) iBraces
Dr. Leiker is one of the first in The Woodlands / Conroe area to offer this new esthetic alternative to metal braces. These braces are placed behind the teeth where no one can see them. They are custom made for the individual patient to fit precisely and as comfortably as possible. It is a great esthetic alternative for working professionals, models, and older teenagers and adults who do not want visible braces.
4) Bio-Force Nickel-Titanium Wires - Heat-activated orthodontic wires provide a constant, light force to move the teeth, which is safer and more efficient for the teeth and bones than the old traditional wires.
- Faster tooth movement
- Less patient tooth discomfort

It also enables us to run on schedule and respect your time. Patients seldom have to wait for there appointments. In addition, with the more personal-service orientation of our office, parents are welcome to come back and observe and ask questions regarding their child’s treatment. We want the patients and parents to feel totally comfortable and confident in the treatment they are receiving.

It is a very relaxed and friendly environment where everyone feels welcome. A large portion of our practice comes from our patients’ referrals. They feel comfortable and confident in referring their family and friends to us because they know that our office will provide the best overall orthodontic experience.
