Meet The Chappell Group 

Professional Profile

The Chappell Group has over 75 years of combined experience providing customized wealth management strategies to successful families, corporate executives, retired individuals, and business owners. We assist high-net-worth clients with private money management, retirement and estate-planning issues, non-correlated assets, tax-minimization, and concentrated stock strategies. 

Rob Chappell joined Merrill Lynch in 1984. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brigham Young University with a business degree and has completed executive education in investment management from the Wharton Business School, and joined MENSA in 2006. In 2008, Merrill Lynch Executive Leadership honored Rob by awarding him with their annual "David Brady Award." Rob was Named to Barron's Top 1,000 Financial Advisors from 2010-2013 and Barron’s Top 1200 Financial Advisors in 2014 and 2015. Rob & his wife Jan reside in The Woodlands. He holds a Series 7, Series 66 and Series 31 FINRA registrations. 

Brent Chappell began working in the financial services industry in 2002. He was an honors student at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with dual degrees in Finance and Spanish. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM, CFP® certificant, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc, and also earned the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor(sm), CRPC®. He was accepted into MENSA in 2006, and is a qualified Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill Lynch model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. When servicing clients through the firm’s Investment Advisory Program, a Portfolio Manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis. Brent received his CIMA® designation from IMCA® after completing executive education in investment management from the Wharton Business School. Brent and his wife, Elizabeth and their 3 children reside in The Woodlands. He holds a Series 7, Series 66 and Series 31 FINRA registrations.

Brad Chappell began working in the Financial Services industry in 2004. He graduated with honors from The University of Texas with a BBA in Finance. Before transferring to The University of Texas, Brad was the captain of his collegiate basketball team at Southern Virginia University. Brad has earned the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (sm) and also received his CIMA® designation from IMCA®, which is taught in conjunction with The Wharton Business School. He is a Portfolio Manager in the Merrill Lynch Investment Advisory Program. Having spent 2 years as a missionary in Brazil, Brad is fluent in Portuguese. Brad, his wife Elizabeth, and their 3 children reside in Spring. He holds a Series 7, Series 66 and Series 31 FINRA registrations.

Michael Mills began working in the Financial Services industry in 2008. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a BS in Journalism. Prior to joining The Chappell Group he worked for a Real Estate private equity company in Dallas where he served as Vice President of Capital Markets. He and his wife, Kristie and their two daughters reside in Montgomery. He holds a Series 7, Series 66 and Series 31 FINRA registrations. 

Spencer Carlson is a Financial Advisor and has been with the team since the fall of 2014. Before joining The Chappell Group, Spencer was a Pension Actuary at Aon Hewitt. Spencer studied Actuarial Science and Financial Mathematics at Brigham Young University. He enjoys surfing and spending time with his wife and son. He holds a Series 7, Series 66 and Series 31 FINRA registrations. 

Jeremie Berrett is a Financial Advisor and was recruited to join The Chappell Group from Idaho where he had been a high school Athletic Director. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from Brigham Young University-Idaho and a master’s degree from Idaho State University. He holds a Series 7, Series 66 and Series 31 FINRA registrations. 

Jake Moon is a graduate of Utah Valley University with a degree in business. He has been working in the financial services industry since 2005. After marrying Michelle Chappell Moon, Jake joined The Chappell Group as they relocated to Texas from Utah. He assists with client service and account administration. He holds his Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA registrations.

Linda Howard is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a BBA in Marketing. Prior to joining The Chappell Group she managed marketing programs for small and start-up businesses. She started at Merrill Lynch in 2012 and assists with client service and account administration.

Jaymie Wendt is a graduate of Texas A&M University and played college basketball at Abilene Christian University. She has been a family friend of the Chappell’s for the last 15 years. Before joining The Chappell Group, Jaymie worked as a personal trainer, helping her clients achieve their fitness and health goals. She assists with client service and account administration. She holds her Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA registrations.

Brianna Warren is a graduate of Sam Houston State University. Before she joined The Chappell Group, she was an elementary school teacher where she not only guided young children, but was also a team leader. She is married to Karl and has a son named Carter. She assists with client service and account administration.
