YMCA Mission
To put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Partners of Youth and Financial Assistance
The South Montgomery County YMCA is committed to making its services available to ALL of the youth in the community. "YMCA Partners" is the name given to the many volunteers whose generous gifts of time and money enables the Y to provide programs to South Montgomery County kids whose families come from all income levels.

Every dollar raised goes directly to providing assistance for kids and families who are in need that live in the South Montgomery County communities. Your gift fo the YMCA Partners program makes our mission possible: To accept all people, regardless of their ability to pay. With your help, thousands of kids and families have the opportunity to participate in nurturing programs that help them grow in spirit, mind and body.

The YMCA Partners Program:

  • Sends kids to Summer Day Camp & Resident Camp
  • Sponsors activities for youth in local apartment communities
  • Provides healthy options for older youth & teens
  • Provides caring supervision for kids of all ages
  • Provides scholarships so children can learn to swim, play sports and participate in other recreational activities.

The Y does all this regardless of a family's ability to pay the full cost of the program.

Due to the generosity of Partners donors, more than $250,000 is raised annually. To make a difference and give a kid a helping hand, please call (281) 367-9622.

  • Caring
  • Faith

Financial Assistance: Open Doors
Open Doors: The YMCA is a not-for-profit, health and human services organization committed to helping people reach their full potential in spirit, mind and body. YMCAs are here to serve people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and incomes.

The YMCA is community-based and believes that its programs and services should be available to everyone. That's why the YMCA offers an OPEN DOORS program. OPEN DOORS is a sliding fee scale that is designed to fit each individual's financial situation. The YMCA believes a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed if the recipient has contributed to the cost of their YMCA involvement; therefore, you will be asked to pay some portion of the fees.

The funds available for OPEN DOORS are made possible through the generosity of our members and donors in the Partners of Youth annual fundraising campaign.

To apply for financial assistance please stop by the YMCA front desk and pick up an application. A YMCA Director, based on thorough review of the application will determine financial assistance eligibility. Please allow 2 weeks to process your application. Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis, subject to available resources.

All YMCA members receive the same membership benefits, regardless of whether or not they are receiving assistance. YMCA members can feel great knowing that they are involved in an organization that cares greatly for the health and well being of people and is committed to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
