Job Description

Accounts Receivable / Admin

JOB SUMMARY:
• Prepare monthly receivable statements
• Carry out billing, collection, apply payments and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
• Generate and review A/R aging with analysis
• Post payments received to customer A/R accounts
• Perform billing of clients on a daily basis as required by deadlines
• Contact vendors for invoice status and resolve contract differentials
• Identify root cause of late payments and recommend / implement process improvements to prevent
recurrence
• Answering a multi-line phone system and assisting customers
• Daily research and resolution of discrepancies
• Investigate and resolve customer queries
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
• Provide backup support to other groups in the office, type periodic reports and perform other general
administrative duties
• Assist with all new-hire, benefits, leave, termination and payroll paperwork, ensuring 100%
compliance with various laws and regulatory mandates
• Work with office staff on projects and or daily tasks that may come up

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• 4-6 years hands-on accounting experience
• Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet
programs
• Experience with Spira, ADP and SAP highly preferred
• Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
• Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof reading
skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers
• Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic
• Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment
• Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings
• Ability to use 10-key calculator for a variety of accounting functions
• Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing work environment
• Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
