This position manages detail accounting transactions and records journal entries, including accruals, for month-end closing and produces the financial statements and reporting of a complex non-profit organization. The position is responsible for managing staff, including coaching, training and performance reviews. This position reports to the Director of Finance and works in conjunction with other members of the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiencies using technology.
Revenue funding is received from multiple sources such as state contracts, government grants, fund raising events and donors. Tracking revenues and expenses accurately for financial reporting is critical. Being knowledgeable of budgets, tracking expenditures accordingly and reporting accurately to funding sources is key. Analytical thinking is required along with having mature emotional intelligence and professional communication skills to interact well with staff, management, other Arrow employees and external auditors.
Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Arrow Child & Family Ministries Policies and Guidelines, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IRS Regulations, Uniform Grant Management Standards, Federal and State Laws, especially pertaining to Payroll. Position is privy to confidential information and must uphold client, staff, donor and other organizational confidentiality.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, required with 7 years of progressive experience as an accounting manager or controller. Must have a heart for Arrow's mission of serving kids and strengthening families.
