Job Description

*Audit: Assist with statistical analysis, audit reviews and monitoring - data mining. Perform all technology related projects for the Auditor's office, including key cashiering system/reporting functions. Support automation of internal controls and financial reporting.
*Project Management: Develop detailed project plan; estimate, track and deliver established milestones; consistently meet deadlines across multiple concurrent assignments.
*System Maintenance/Programming: Constantly seek efficiencies in financial operations for the County Auditor, as well as other departments in the county. Assist with organization of workflow to maximize efficiencies in operations as well as ensure current system complies with governing rules/regulations. Provide maintenance/security of current systems and special programming/automation requested by departments or governing agencies. Provide technical support and systems training as necessary (including, but not limited to, report writing).
*System Selection: Oversee/direct search for financial system/programs of various types that will increase overall efficiency/effectiveness of Montgomery County. Assist with financial system evaluations and implementation.
*Technology Liaison: Coordinate with directors/supervisors to manage testing times and accuracy of testing vs. live environments. Ensure that all scripts are complete when undergoing system upgrades/patches. Serve as liaison between the Auditor's office, IT, other county departments, and third party vendors. Participate in strategic planning of Auditor's office applications county-wide, as related to software installs/implementation/configuration. Facilitate system architectural changes affecting financial/auditing applications.
*Other: Seasonal overtime required. Other pertinent duties as assigned.

Skills Required

*BBA or equiv in business or computer sciences
*Min 5 yrs in finance industry systems
*Experience w/implementation of major finance system (govt pref)
*Project Mgmt experience
*Ability to analyze business processes/financial transactions & identify desired changes
*Capacity to work indep or as team member
*Aptitude for recognizing/clarifying ambiguous assignments, addressing challenges, & evoking compromise
*Clear businesslike communication/listening skills (written & oral)
*Legible penmanship

Compensation:

$3,697.86-4,045.32 bi-weekly
