Job Description

Scope

The Admission & Administrative Services Coordinator is an integral TWMS Admissions team, as well as TWMS Lower & Middle School. This position is responsible for the overall coordination of the recruitment and admittance of students to The Woodlands Methodist School (TWMS), marketing, as well as coordinating Eagle Club and after-school enrichment activities.

The development of this new position will be supported by the Director of Admissions, Principal of TWMS, and Head of School.

Admission Duties and Responsibilities
 
- Assist families with the application process
- Troubleshoot online admission issues
     - Attend all admission committee meetings and record the minutes from all decisions made
- Point of contact for all general admission questions
- Schedule tours for prospective families
- Manage admission funnel for prospective families
- Prepare and maintain student files (blue folders) for incoming students
- Assist with assessments for prospective 3rd-8th grade students
- Schedule student assessments and coordinate with staff
- Assist with writing and managing online admissions
- Assist with school and church events and activities when needed
 
Enrollment Duties
 
- Assist families with the enrollment and re-enrollment process
- Troubleshoot enrollment issues
- Liaison for Parent’s Web troubleshooting
- Assist with writing and managing online enrollment
 
Marketing and Communications
 
- Assist with tours when Director of Admission is unavailable
- Coordinate and implement admission events
     - Incoming Kindergarten brunch
     - Community luncheon
     - Church booths
     - New Student orientation
     - Community events and booths
- Update the Houston Private Schools (HAIS) website with events
- Prepare information folders for prospective families
- Assist Director of Admission with monthly newsletter when needed
- Schedule reservations in Event Pro for admission
- Coordinate mass mailings
- Maintain marketing and booth materials
- Implement marketing strategies (Facebook, Communications) outlined by Director of Admissions

Skills Required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, education or a related field
  • Exceptional verbal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational, management and computer skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work collaboratively
  • Willingness to learn about marketing principals as they relate to student admissions
  • Ability to exercise discretion and utmost professionalism in confidential and sensitive matters
  • 3 or more years of experience working in a school or other academic setting
  • Thorough knowledge of the Christian education philosophy
  • Committed Christian
