Karlins sets a sterling example of one who gives back to the community that has contributed to her success. Her website has a page that enables buyers and sellers to select a charity of their choice to whom she will donate. On the page, she states, “I believe it is extremely important to give back to our community to help those in need.”

Funding cancer research is especially important to her. She lost a sister to breast cancer in 2009 and has been an advocate for the fight against breast cancer ever since, donating a considerable amount of time in support of In the Pink of Health – Memorial Hermann Foundation. In tandem with her husband Mike Karlins, the dynamic duo partners with TIRR Memorial Hermann’s “Bustin’ Clays,” a sporting clay tournament aiding in the rehabilitation of military veterans.
