Gelfman Named VP of Economic Development for Chamber

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Gary M. Gelfman, Managing Partner of Gelfman & Associates, P.L.L.C., a law firm based in The Woodlands, has been named Vice President of Economic Development for the South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce. In addition, the Chamber has named Gelfman as Chair of the 23rd Annual Economic Outlook Conference, scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2009 from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center.
“I am honored to be able to assist the South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce as Vice President of Economic Development and Chair of the Economic Outlook Conference,” said Gelfman. “Through this conference, my goal is to provide our members solutions to these tough economic challenges.”
Gary Gelfman received his Juris Doctorate degree from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Urban Planning from Washington University in St. Louis. Gelfman has practiced law for 14 years and is licensed in Texas and California.
Gelfman is an active member in the South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce. He has served as Vice President of image and visibility for the Chamber; Co-Team Leader for the 2008 Economic Outlook Conference; and past Team Leader for the Chamber’s networking breakfast and diplomat teams. Along with involvement in the Chamber, Gelfman is a past Director on the Board of Directors for Town Center Theatre, a professional theater company based in The Woodlands. In the past, he has also served as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Child Advocates.
