Bret Strong admitted to the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Attorney Bret L. Strong of The Strong Firm P.C. was officially admitted to practice law before The United States Supreme Court in a swearing ceremony Oct. 31. He was sworn in open court at the Supreme Court Building in Washington D.C. before all nine of the Supreme Court Justices. Strong was nominated for admission by Bruce Tough of The Tough Law Firm, who is a long-time admitted member of the Bar of The United States Supreme Court and currently serves as the Chairman of The Woodlands Township.

“This is certainly one of the most wonderful honors that I could achieve in my career as an attorney,” explained Strong, founder and managing shareholder of The Strong Firm. “It was a privilege to stand before the Supreme Court Justices in the hallowed halls of The United States Supreme Court and take that sacred vow to support the Constitution and the freedoms we hold so dear. It was an amazing experience and I thank Mr. Tough for his nomination and being there in support of this greatest of honors.”

The Strong Firm is a locally-owned and operated business law firm based in The Woodlands specializing in all aspects of business law including commercial real estate transactions, corporate and partnership structuring and creation, borrowing and financial structuring, sophisticated commercial and energy related transactions, international business investment, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting and negotiations, drafting of wills, trusts and estates, and the handling of certain commercial disputes and collection matters.

Prior to becoming establishing his practice in The Woodlands in 2004, Bret Strong spent 11 years with Shell Oil Company in areas of contracting, finance, and information services and went on to become licensed in the legal field. He earned his Juris Doctorate – cum laude – from South Texas College of Law, and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Strong has achieved the AV® Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ award and is a member of the State Bar of Texas and has served as a founding board member of The Woodlands Bar Association. The Strong Firm was voted the “Best Attorney, Lawyer & Legal Services in The Woodlands” in 2010 and 2011 by registered users of Woodlands Online.

Bret Strong has been a resident and an active community leader in The Woodlands for over 20 years. He has served with the South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce as Chairman 2008-2009 and Board Member 2005-present, The Montgomery County United Way as Board Member 2007-present, the South Montgomery County YMCA as Chairman 2003-2005, Board Member 1996-present, and the Conroe Independent School District on Facilities and Bond Planning Committee in 2003 and 2007. He is a graduate of the Leadership Montgomery County Class of 2005 and is a member of its Alumni Association.

His firm provides counsel for The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau and The Woodlands Township, and legal services to various non-profit organizations including Interfaith and The Montgomery County Women’s Center.

An avid outdoor sporting athlete, Strong is a member of The Woodlands Running Club and is a founding member of the Lone Star Triathlon Club. When not practicing law, he enjoys competing in triathlons and is a three-time Ironman triathlon finisher.
