MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas—The 2012 Texas Renaissance Festival runs from Saturday, October 6th, continuing the medieval tradition through November 25th. Located on FM 1774 outside Todd Mission, Texas, the festival is the nation’s largest Renaissance theme park, and has expanded over an additional 100 acres.

This weekend's theme is Celtic Christmas, so usher in the holidays in a royal fashion.  This last weekend Renaissance Festival is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Enjoy contests including the Guess the Present Contest, Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest, and the Christmas Scavenger Hunt.  Don't forget to stay till dusk to see the Royal Fireworks!

The Festival features a different theme over the eight weekends, which will include hundreds of costumed performers in over 200 performances per day, as the entertainers recreate 16th Century merry old England. Other themes include All Hallow’s Eve, the Pirate Adventure, and culminate in a Celtic Christmas, just to name a few. View the website to select the theme of your choice and purchase tickets.

When you step back in time you’ll be able to watch artisans ply the trades of the times, and select wares from 350 shoppes. Sample the food and beverages, participate in the games, and enter the themed contests each weekend.

Only 1 weekend left of the Texas Renaissance Festival.  The remaining theme follows:
