'The Very Merry Xmas Carol Holiday Adventure Show' presented by Lone Star College-MontgomerybyNov 20, 2012
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Tickets are on sale now for a holiday show like no other – Lone Star College-Montgomery’s presentation of “The Very Merry Xmas Carol Holiday Adventure Show” by Justin Jain, Dave Johnson, Brian McCann, Tim Sawicki, and Bradley Wrenn. Performances take place November 29 at 7 p.m.; November 30 at Noon and 7 p.m.; and December 1 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m; in the college’s Performing Arts Center (Building D). During “Family Night,” on Friday, November 30, the college is hosting a special pre-show party complete with hot chocolate and sweets, a face-painter, and balloon artist beginning at 5 p.m. In “The Very Merry Xmas Show,” a narrator's retelling of Christmas tales quickly unravels into an action-packed adventure when “the Xmas,” a malicious force of holiday ruination, sweeps in to destroy all things red and green. Classic holiday characters are the only hope to stop it: reluctant Ebenezer Scrooge, intrepid Frosty the Snowman, and timid Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer among them. This dream team embarks on a journey to restore the Spirit of Christmas. “This production combines the zaniness of Johnny Test and the tradition of several Christmas stories to create a fast-moving, funny and ultimately endearing piece of theatre,” said Chase Waites, drama professor at LSC-Montgomery and director of the show. “All groups and ages should find something to like in this madcap adventure of Frosty, Rudolph, and Scrooge taking on the frozen tundra, an evil drummer boy, and the scary spirit of the Xmas.” For any large, school/class-type groups, Waites said that during the noon performance on Friday, November 30, there are available tickets for one to two additional groups to attend. Tickets are $5 for students/faculty/staff; $7 for seniors (55+); and $10 general admission. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the Tickets link below.
