Basketball: Cooper wins tourney title

FORT WORTH, Texas - The John Cooper School boys’ basketball team claimed first place out of 32 teams at the Lake Country Christian Tournament, Dec.28-30.

Cooper’s Avery Johnson was MVP and Ray Walker and Joe Jared claimed all-tournament honors.

The Dragons beat Frisco Legacy (73-48); Garland Christian (66-39); Colleyville Covenant (61-34); The Woodlands Christian Academy (45-37); and Beaumont Legacy (65-32) to claim the title.
