Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Physician of the Year

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- General surgeon James A. Field, M.D., F.A.C.S., with Surgical Group of The Woodlands is the Physician of the Year at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital.

Dr. Field has held many leadership positions at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands including the Cancer Committee Chair and the Co-Director of Trauma, and he attends the Hospital’s weekly Cancer Tumor Board.

In 2012, Dr. Field also became the first to perform general surgery using daVinci robotic-assisted surgery – a cholecystectomy, removal of gall bladder.

In total, seven physicians received nominations from the Hospital’s staff. Dr. Field is pictured with Memorial Hermann The Woodlands CEO Steve Sanders.
