The Woodlands is buzzing with new development, here's a look at some of the commercial development that take shape in 2007.
The Woodlands Waterway
24 Waterway Avenue
Located at the north end of Waterway Square this 13-story, 308,206-square-foot Class A office building will include: 12 office floors, a restaurant, and retail space on the ground floor. 24 Waterway Avenue overlooks Waterway Square and The Woodlands Waterway. Leasing and construction are currently underway.
25 Waterway Avenue/1599 Lake Robbins Drive
Construction of this 14,000-square-foot building, located on the southwest corner of Waterway Avenue & Lake Robbins Drive, is nearing completion. Among the business committed to the building are Baker St. Pub & Grill, a 6,500-square-foot restaurant in the building, and another 3,500 square feet of restaurant space is also committed. An adjoining two-story, 10,000-square-foot building (1599 Lake Robbins Drive) with retail on the ground floor and office above is also nearing completion.
20 Waterway Avenue
Two separate specialty restaurant buildings totaling 20,000 square feet, with views of the fountains in Waterway Square is planned for completion in late 2007 or early 2008. The structures will be facing Waterway Square on the east side of Waterway Avenue.
Research Forest Drive
Fox Network Center-Houston
Fox Networks Group is constructing a 206,000-square-foot regional technical facility located on Research Forest Drive just east of Technology Forest Drive. The facility will manage transmissions for Fox’s regional sports networks and other programming services for the greater Houston area. Completion is expected in the third quarter of 2007.
Marcel Professional Plaza
Marcel, Inc. has begun construction of a 28,800-square-foot Class A office building on the northwest corner of Research Forest at New Trails Drive. The building is expected to be completed in mid-2007.
Petroleum Wholesale
Petroleum Wholesale is constructing a 20,000-square-foot office building on a 10-acre site along an extension from Technology Forest Drive to Gosling Road.
Indian Springs
Indian Springs Office & Restaurant Complex
A 10-acre mixed use office/retail center being developed by B&A Development at the intersection of Kuykendahl Road & Flintridge Drive. The center will provide 64,500 square feet of development, including two 24,000-square-foot office buildings and three sites for upscale restaurants.
