Volunteers for area non-profits honored at Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The volunteer spirit of Montgomery County was rewarded at the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Tuesday, in a program titled “The Treasures of our Community.” Organized by the South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce, area non-profit organizations were treated to lunch and recognized for their many hours of community service.

Sponsored by more than two dozen area business, approximately 300 volunteers were served lunch and entertained by the music of renowned local musician, Ramon Torres. Bev Earl, Chamber of Commerce Chairman and a candidate for The Woodlands Township Board of Directors, emceed the event.
