District 2 - Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)
Intoxicated Motorcycle Driver
On July 4, at 10:53 p.m., Sgt. B. Herring responded to Woodlands Parkway and S. Panther Creek in reference to a possible intoxicated motorcycle driver. Sgt. Herring arrived and spoke with the juvenile passenger on the motorcycle who advised that the driver was intoxicated and was driving in excess of 100 mph. While speaking to the driver, Sgt. Herring could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Also, the driver was unsteady while he stood and had slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were performed and the male driver, 38, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated With Child Passenger, F3.
Woman Arrested for Threat
Deputy S. Spencer was dispatched on July 7, at 11:17 a.m., to 6607 Woodlands Parkway in reference to a disturbance in progress involving a female threatening to get a gun from her vehicle. As Dep. Spencer entered the building she observed the suspect and approached her. Dep. Spencer ordered the woman to get on the floor. After suspect refused to comply, Dep. Spencer placed the suspect on the floor and she was handcuffed with the help of Dep. M. Dryer. The woman, 60, was arrested for Resisting Arrest, class A misdemeanor, and Terroristic Threat, class B misdemeanor.
Teen Arrested for Marijuana
While on routine patrol on July 10, at 2:36 p.m., Deputy T. McCoy observed a man standing behind a store in the 29000 block of Brookchase Drive. The suspect could not produce any identification, but was identified by name and DOB. The suspect admitted to having "Bud" in his pocket. Dep. McCoy retrieved a small baggy of marijuana from the suspect's pocket. The male suspect, 17, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, class B misdemeanor.
Man Arrested with Stolen Firearm
Deputy B. Flynn was on patrol in the 25900 block of Glenloch when he observed a vehicle matching the description of a felony theft suspect from the prior day. A traffic stop was initiated and after an initial interview, the driver admitted to having a weapon the vehicle. The male suspect, 25, was placed into handcuffs and into the backseat of the patrol vehicle. A search of the vehicle produced a stolen handgun and methamphetamine. The man was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, F3, Theft of Firearm, State Jail Felony, and Possession of Firearm by a Felon, State Jail Felony.
Marijuana Arrest
On July 13, at 6:27 p.m., Cpl. J. P. Gonzales conducted a traffic stop at College Park Drive and Twin Vale Drive after he observed a vehicle travel through a red light at a high rate of speed. Upon making contact with the driver, Cpl. Gonzales smelled the strong odor of burned marijuana. The driver admitted to having a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle. Marijuana was found along with several thousand dollars in cash. The male suspect, 34, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, class B misdemeanor. He could not explain the source of the cash and was also charged with Money Laundering, State Jail Felony.
District 6 - Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)
Criminal Trespass
On July 10, at 2:01 a.m., Deputy D. Koth was dispatched to 2008 Lake Robbins in reference to a criminal trespass. Upon arrival, Dep. Koth spoke with a security guard who advised that two subjects were inside the fenced area. The guard followed them down the hill and Deputy T. Conklin detained them. They were arrested for Criminal Trespass, class B misdemeanor and Theft, class B misdemeanor.
Man Arrested for False Information
On July 10, at 4:45 p.m., Deputy J. Godden was dispatched to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a fraud in progress. A witness advised that a man came into the store and applied for credit. The sales person became suspicious when he had to call someone to advise his social security number and date of birth. After interviewing the male suspect, 50, he admitted to his actual name and date of birth. The suspect was arrested for Tampering with a Government Document, F3.
During the week of July 8 - July 14, District 6 deputies arrested 13 suspects for Theft/Shoplifting.
District 1 - Lt. Darrel Conn (North County)
Boyfriend Assaults Woman
On July 6, at 3:35 p.m. Deputy Bourne was dispatched to the 13,000 block of Running Bear Drive, in Willis, in reference to a Family Disturbance. Upon arrival, the female complainant, 28, reported that she had been assaulted by her live-in boyfriend, 31. The man had reportedly damaged the interior of the home, choked the woman, and threw her down. The suspect would not allow her to make a phone call or leave the home. Assault - Family Violence charges were accepted by the District Attorney's Office and the case is pending prosecution.

On July 6, at 5:52 a.m. Corporal Bagwell was dispatched to the 12,000 block of Long Street, in Willis, in reference to a disturbance in progress. A male suspect, 36, was arrested and charged with Assault - Family Violence. This case will be referred to the Justice Court for prosecution and disposition.
DWI Arrest
On July 7, Deputy Degner was patrolling eastbound on SH 105 near April Sound when he observed a vehicle going the same direction, drifting from lane to lane and driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped to check on the driver. The female driver, 40, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that the suspect was previously arrested in 2002 for another DWI in Ellis County,Texas.
Man Assaults Two Officers
On July 9, Deputy Halbert was dispatched to 108 Laurie Street, in Willis, to assist a Willis Officer with a disturbance. The Willis Officer had arrived first and had confronted a belligerent, intoxicated male identified as Curtis Taylor, 26. The suspect had apparently assaulted the first officer and the officer was pinned on the ground by the suspect. Dep. Halbert attempted to gain physical control of the suspect when the suspect turned on Dep. Halbert, striking him in the head with his fist. Dep. Halbert attempted to gain control over the subject by tazing him but his instrument misfired. This belligerent individual was eventually brought under control by both officers. The suspect was transported to jail and charged with two counts of Assault on a Public Servant; Felony Third Degree.
Man Arrested for Violating Protective Order
On July 12, Deputy Bourne located and arrested David Wilkerson, 27, for Violation of a Protective Order. The suspect was found to be driving a vehicle with a child who was protected by the order. The suspect had taken the child from the parent's house. The mother did not know where the child was. A $10,000 bond was set pending prosecution.
District 3 - Lt. Jim Fleming (East County)
Woman Arrested for Home Break-In
On July 7, Corporal S. Spiller was sent to the 26300 block of Sorters Road in reference to a burglary. Cpl. Spiller observed forced entry through the front window and that several screens on other windows had been removed. The owner arrived and opened the door and Cpl. Spiller observed a woman exiting the kitchen area of the building. She was detained. The owner checked the offices and found that desk drawers had been gone through. The female suspect, 51, from Porter was arrested at 4:19 a.m. and transported to jail.
Husband Arrested After Argument with Wife
On July 7, Deputy J. Guion responded to a family violence assault call in the 25600 block of Walnut Lane. Dep. Guion was advised by the female complainant that she and her husband had gotten into a verbal argument that led to her leaving the room and him following her. The wife attempted to close a door when he pushed it striking her on the arm. The husband, 50, from Cleveland was arrested at 6:20 p.m. and transported to jail.
Intoxicated Man Arrested Walking on Roadway
On July 7, Deputy S. Ortiz was dispatched to the 1300 block of North Park Drive in reference to an intoxicated man. Dep. Ortiz found the suspect staggering down the roadway. The 46-year-old man from Kingwood was arrested at 6:21 p.m. and transported to jail.
Intoxicated Teen Arrested in Parking Lot
On July 8, Deputies J. Amstutz and C. Curry were notified of a welfare concern call in the 26100 block of Hwy 59. A man was found slumped over in his vehicle in the parking lot. The man was found to be intoxicated. During the investigation, the deputies found that the man had in his possession five Montgomery County street signs each clearly marked "MCP #4". The 18-year-old male was arrested at 8:57 a.m. and transported to jail.
Protective Order Voilator Arrested
On July 9, Deputy A. Cross was sent to the corner of FM 1314 and Hwy 59 for a disturbance call. A man and woman had been seen in a vehicle together by a Pct. 4 Deputy Constable. The man was known to have a protective order against him from the female. The male suspect, 31, from Porter was arrested at 7:50 p.m. for violation of a protective order and was taken to jail.
Man Arrested for Assault
On July 10, Deputy C. Murray was dispatched to the 21200 block of Cherry Street for an assault call. Dep. Murray met with a male complainant who had been assaulted by another man after a verbal disagreement over a female companion. The suspect had struck the complainant numerous times on the head with his fist. The 20-year-old man from New Caney was arrested at 4:06 a.m. and transported to jail.
Man Arrested for Stolen ATV
On July 10, Deputy R. Layman was at the intersection of Hwy 59 and Roman Forest Blvd when an ATV was observed traveling on Roman Forest Blvd. A man was driving the ATV with two small children riding, neither of whom were wearing a helmet. Dep. Layman stopped the ATV and found that the ATV was stolen out of Polk County. The male suspect, 30, from New Caney was arrested at 12:57 p.m. and transported to jail.
Woman Arrested for Intoxication
On July 10, Deputy S. Ortiz was sent to a disturbance in progress call in the 23600 block of Hwy 59. Dep. Ortiz located an intoxicated woman on location. The 47-year-old woman from New Caney was arrested at 5:25 p.m. and transported to jail.
Two Men Arrested for Marijuana
On July 12, Deputies C. Evans and P. Rex responded to a disturbance in progress call in the 20000 block of FM 1485. Two men were observed getting into a vehicle and as the deputies approached they could smell marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The suspects were detained and 0.46 ounces of marijuana were recovered from the vehicle. The deputies learned that one of the suspects had been involved in an altercation with another man on scene and an assault had occurred. The men, ages 21 and 27, both from Conroe, were arrested at 12:30 a.m. and transported to jail.
Woman Arrested for DWI
On July 13, Deputy J. Armstrong was traveling on Hwy 59 service road near FM 1485 when a vehicle was observed weaving from line to line. A witness stated that he had seen the vehicle not able to maintain a single lane. The vehicle was stopped by Dep. Armstrong and the female driver was found to be intoxicated. The woman, 46, from Conroe was arrested at 11:25 a.m., charged with DWI, and transported to jail.
Warrants served:
A 19-year-old man from Conroe was arrested at 1:23 p.m. on July 7, in the 23700 block of Hwy 59 by Corporal D. Miller for a possession of a controlled substance warrant out of Montgomery County. The suspect had been stopped on a traffic violation.
A 45-year-old woman from New Caney was arrested at 3:26 p.m. on July 7, in the 21200 block of Hwy 59 by Deputy G. Harman for a possession of a controlled substance warrant out of Montgomery County. The woman had been stopped on a traffic violation.
A 38-year-old man from Porter was arrested at 12:27 p.m. on July 8, in the 22300 block of FM 1314 by Deputy J. Amstutz for a money laundering warrant out of Montgomery County. The man had been stopped on a traffic violation.
A 30-year-old man from Conroe was arrested at 6:40 p.m. on July 9, in the 13600 block of Pinewood Village Drive by Deputy J. Varnell for a failure to appear on a civil contempt warrant out of Montgomery County. Dep. Varnell was assisting on a disturbance call.
A 21-year-old man from Porter was arrested at 4:13 p.m. on July 10, in the 21000 block of Ferne Leaf Drive by Deputy R. Layman for a possession of a controlled substance (motion to adjudicate) warrant, a possession of a controlled substance warrant and possession of a dangerous drug warrant, all out of Montgomery County. The man was on the crime stoppers weekly most wanted list. Dep. Layman had received prior information as to the location of the suspect. While out at the scene, Dep. Layman located another man, 25, from Spring, that had five Justice of the Peace 4 traffic warrants out on him. Additionally a woman, 22, from Porter was checked and found to have a theft warrant on her out of Liberty County.
A 40-year-old woman from Conroe was arrested at 5:54 p.m. on July 10, in the 18100 block of Williams Lane by Deputy D. Rippley for a theft by check warrant out of Liberty County. Dep. Rippley was investigating a medical call.
A 24-year-old woman from Porter was arrested at 3:25 p.m. on July 12, in the area of Pinedale Lane and Owen Lane by Deputy G. Harman for a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County. The woman was stopped on a traffic violation.
District 4 - Lt. Art Galloway (West County)
On July 8, Cpl. F. Webb was dispatched to Decker Prairie Rd in reference to a theft. When she arrived on location she met with the complainant who stated that someone cut the combination e lock on the front gate of his business and stole his John Deere utility tractor, John Deere front end loader for the tractor, John Deere rotary cutter, and Hefty 24' bumper pull tandem utility trailer. Total dollar value of the equipment and lock $32,045. The case referred to Auto Theft Task Force.
Home Burglary
On July 9, Deputy A. Sumrall was dispatched to High Chaparral in reference to burglary of a habitation. Upon arrival, Dep. Sumrall met with the complainant who advised that when he arrived at the home to check on it, he found the house had been broken into by someone breaking and entering through a window. The unknown suspect(s) exited the house by unlocking the door leading from the kitchen into the garage and opening the garage door. Various items were stolen including a Sony TV, 4 firearms, a Dell computer tower, Dell flat screen computer monitor, and a Sony surround sound stereo system. One 36" x 36" window was broken to gain entrance. The total dollar loss was estimated at $8,950. This case referred to Criminal Investigation Division.
Angry Customer Damages Display at Gas Station
On July 9, Deputy J. Herman was dispatched to a Chevron on FM 249 in reference to criminal mischief. When Dep. Herman arrived he met with the complainant (clerk) who stated there was a dispute with a customer who had paid for $10.00 of gas, then returned to the store stating he had accidentally driven off and forgot to pump the gas. The dispute could not be settled, nor money returned without a manager's approval. A manager was not available until the following day. The man then became angry and pushed over a large sunglass display rack. The total dollar loss to the store was estimated at $500 for a damaged 5' metal and plastic display rack and $100 for 10 pairs of broken sunglasses. This case referred to Criminal Investigation Division.
Vehicle Damages Gate, Yard
On July 10, Deputy T. Slusher was dispatched to Old Hockley Rd. in reference to a reckless damage report. Upon arrival, Dep. Slusher met with the complainant who stated that the electrical gate at the end of her driveway would not open. Upon closer inspection she discovered that someone had driven through the white, ranch-style fence causing damage to the fence, the electrical box that operates the gate, and the sprinkler system in the front yard. Parts of the vehicle had been left at the scene. The total damage was estimated at approximately $2,000. Dep. Slusher took the report, photographed the scene, and gathered the evidence which was submitted to the Crime Lab in Conroe. This case has been referred to Criminal Investigation Division.
Golf Course Damaged
On July 10, Deputy G. Kerr was dispatched to FM 1486 for a criminal mischief report. When he arrived on scene (a private golf course) he met with the complainant who stated the criminal mischief occurred at #2, #4 and #10 through #18 holes. Someone had used a golf cart from the pro shop and drove it on the greens and fairways causing damage by rutting up the ground after it rained. The damage was estimated at between $5,000 and $10,000. This case has been referred to Criminal Investigation Division for follow-up.
Truck Damaged
On July 11, Deputy D. Birch was dispatched to Mellow Brew Ct. in reference to criminal mischief. Upon arrival, Dep. Birch met with the complainant who stated that a little before 1:00 a.m. he had heard a loud pop outside of his residence. He jumped up and ran outside, but he did not see anyone or a vehicle. After checking around his property he discovered his truck had been damaged. The rear driver's side passenger window had been busted and the left rear tire had been punctured. The cost to replace the window and tire was estimated at $210. This case has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Division.
Copper Theft
On July 12, Deputy G. Kerr was dispatched to Sweetwater in reference to theft of copper. Upon arrival, Dep. Kerr met with the complainant who stated she had recently purchased the mobile home and property. While in the process of moving in, she discovered someone had stolen the #2/0 copper wire from the breaker box leading 150' to the home underground. The cost to replace the stolen wire was estimated at $1,000. This case has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Division.
Storage Building Burglary
On July 12, Deputy H. Suarez was dispatched to Peden in reference to burglary of a building. When Dep. Suarez arrived he met with the complainant who stated that forced entry had been made into his metal storage building by someone prying up a metal structural sheet and holding it open with a wooden board. Various tools had been stolen from the storage building. The estimated dollar loss is $1,130. This case has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Division.
Shed Burglary
On July 12, Deputy K. Krolczyk was dispatched to FM 1486 in reference to a criminal mischief call. Upon arrival, Dep. Krolczyk met with the complainant who provided information for the report. There was structural damage to the shed and someone had entered the house and ransacked it. Not much was found to be missing but several things had been disturbed and scattered. A candy vending machine had been destroyed and some change removed from it. The total dollar loss was reported at $1,500. The case has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Division.
Home Burglary
On July 13, Deputy A. Sumrall was dispatched to SH 249 in reference to a burglary call. Upon arrival, Dep. Sumrall met with the complainant who stated that he had been hospitalized for a few days. When he arrived home, the complainant found his house in total disarray and various items had been stolen. The items included various medications, a Baer Compound Bow (green camo with black case) and an assortment of gold collector coins valued at $15,000.00. The total dollar loss was reported at approximately $15,700. This case has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Division.
District 5 - Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)
Wanted Man Arrested After Traffic Stop
On July 8, at 7:30 p.m. Deputy Enloe conducted a traffic stop in the 19000 Keenen Cutoff Road. He found that the driver of the vehicle had an invalid driver's license. He ran the passengers driver's license to make sure it was valid before releasing the vehicle to him. The passenger (suspect) had four warrants out for his arrest. The suspect was arrested and placed in the Montgomery County jail.
Storage Tanks Vandalized with Graffiti
On July 7, at 2:53 pm. Deputy Neeley responded to a Criminal Mischief (Graffiti) call in the 3400 block of Fitzgerald Street located in the Walden Sub-Division. The complainant showed him where unknown suspect(s) painted graffiti on the ground water storage tanks. The graffiti contained a marijuana leaf painted in red with the numeric number "420" painted in white on one side of the tank and on the other was a marijuana leaf painted in red and had "187 On The Pigs". Deputy Neeley and the complainant went to another location in the 12600 block of Browning where the second water tank is located and found the same graffiti painted on it. The cost to repair the damage was estimated by the complainant at $2,500. This case will be forwarded to the Detective Division for follow up investigation.
Show Car Stolen
On July 11, at 6:11 a.m. Deputy Blackwell responded to a Theft of a Motor Vehicle in the 3000 block Chaucer. The complainant said that he parked his 2003 Nissan show car in front of his home the night before and upon his return from work the next morning he discovered his vehicle missing. The vehicle is valued at $14,000. The complainant also had $24,642 worth of specialized equipment installed in it. This case will be forwarded to the Auto Theft Task Force for follow up.
