THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The 3rd Annual The Woodlands Idol competition, organized by the Woodlands Chamber, was played out to a full house at the Crescent Moon Wine Bar Friday night. The event was opened to the first thirty singers who signed up, but only a couple of dozen courageous individuals performed. Amateur karaoke singers know by now, that only the finest talent enters this competition.
The nine finalists now advance to the semi-finals. The deadline to vote for the People’s Choice Award for round one, is midnight on Sunday, Nov. 8. To vote, visit Taste of the Town Web site at the link below and click on The Woodlands Idol at the top of the page.
The next round will be held at Papa’s Ice House on Friday, Dec. 4, and the third round will be held at Dosey Doe on Friday, Jan. 8. The semi-finals return to Papa’s Ice House on Friday, Jan. 22, and the Finals will be Thursday, Jan. 28, at the Taste of the Town in The Woodlands Waterway Marriott and Convention Center, from 4-9 p.m.
