Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Celebrates 25th Year with Community Open House and Health Fair
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- On the afternoon Sunday, February 21, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands formally celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special Community Open House and Health Fair. More than 750 attended the free event which included activities for both kids and adults.
Some of the highlights included a behind the scenes tour of an operating room, tours of the cancer center and family birth center, technology demonstrations with the daVinci surgical robot and imaging tools, screenings for glucose/cholesterol, stroke, BMI, bone-heel density, abdominal aortic aneurysm and oral cancer.
Also, visitors had the opportunity to check out Life Flight, a pediatric transport ambulance and to meet the canine stars of the hospital's pet visitation program, and complete some training drills by the Athletic Republic sports performance enhancement program.
