Home Burglary Suspects Arrested
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office are expected to file charges against two suspects arrested in Bellaire who are believed to be involved in a home burglary in The Woodlands.
On Friday, Feb. 26, at around 4 a.m. a homeowner and his wife on West Wildwind Circle were awaken by a loud crashing sound and discovered that a computer had been stolen from inside their home. When the husband went to investigate he found that a door into the residence had been kicked in and a desktop computer had been stolen. When he looked outside he saw someone running away from the home. The couple called the MCSO who initiated a search and investigation.
Later in the same day, police officers in Bellaire, Texas arrested two suspects for criminal trespass at a residence. Officers found that the suspects would drive through neighborhoods and after seeing a glow in a window of a home which had a computer they wanted, the pair would force entry into the home regardless if the residents where inside and take the computer. Bellaire Police believes the suspects are responsible for several other similar crimes in their city.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigators went to Bellaire and are working cooperatively with their police officers. The homeowner’s computer has been recovered.
Ryan Shaw, 21, of Huntsville, and Jason Stevenson, 31, of Huntsville, were both charged with criminal mischief in Bellaire and burglary charges are expected to be filed on the two suspects in Montgomery County.
