H&M (finally) headed to Houston
HOUSTON –– It's official, H&M is actually setting up shop in Houston.
The popular retailer (which has a Dallas location) announced Wednesday that it’s opening its first store here at Baybrook Mall, sometime in the spring. Later on this year, they’ll open another store at Willobrook Mall.
The stores will measure about 19,400 square feet at the Baybrook Mall and roughly 25,600 square feet at the Willowbrook location.
The Swedish H&M, short for Hennes and Mauritz, offers a variety of hip, affordable clothes for men and women and has more than 230 stores in the U.S. but has long snubbed Texas until recently. Rumors had circled months ago about possible stores in the Galleria or The Woodlands.
Internationally, H&M has more than 2,500 stores in 43 markets around the world.
