National Signing Day
THE WOODLANDS, Texas – National Signing Day was a huge success Wednesday at The Woodlands High School. A total of 40 student-athletes signed letters of intent from across 11 different sports.
“This is very impressive,” The Woodlands High School Principal Greg Colschen said. “This is my 10th year at The Woodlands High School and I can safely say that we have never had 40 young men and women sign at one time. It certainly gives future classes something to shoot for.”
The Woodlands Head Football Coach and Campus Athletics Director Mark Schmid echoed those sentiments.
“This is a special day for us,” Schmid said. “We’re extremely proud and excited. These young men and women have accomplished what very few high school athletes have been able to do. Their hard work in the classroom and in the athletic arena has been rewarded with an opportunity to continue their playing days at the collegiate level.”
