Sheriff's office blotter, Jan. 21 - 30, 2012
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Montgomery County sheriff's deputies reported the following incidents between Jan. 21 and 30 in The Woodlands:
On January 21, Deputy Hammons was dispatched to a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle in progress on Panther Creek Drive. The suspect, a 27-year-old man from Houston, was located nearby and taken into custody on charges of Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.
On January 22, Deputy Burnett and Sgt. Sumrall were notified by a witness that a subject was driving a golf cart on FM 2978. The suspect was located and identified as a 25-year-old man from Magnolia. The suspect was found to be driving a stolen golf cart and to have and active warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody for the warrant, and arrested on charges of Felony Theft of a Vehicle.
On January 23, Deputy Weatherford responded to a Shoplifter in custody at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspect, a 49-year-old woman from The Woodlands, is accused of attempting to take about $440 worth of merchandise from Macy’s Department Store. The suspect was arrested on charges of Theft and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
Deputy Prince and Deputy Burnett conducted a traffic stop on College Park Drive on January 27. During the course of the stop, it was determined that the driver, 32-year-old man from Spring was intoxicated. The suspect was arrested on charges of Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
On January 30, Deputy Bible saw someone running from an apartment. The suspect, a 48-year-old man from Spring, was found to have drug paraphernalia. A baggy containing cocaine residue was located inside the suspect’s vehicle and a small amount of crack cocaine was inside the suspect’s pocket. The suspect was taken into custody by Deputy Uber on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
