Unofficial township board election results are in
THE WOODLANDS, Texas –– Unofficial results are in for the Township Board election and one incumbent, so far, has not received enough votes to keep his seat.
The unofficial results reported by the township show Richard “Gordy” Bunch garnering 2,258 votes for Position 1, defeating incumbent Claude Hunter who had 1,775 votes and Henrietta Riddiford who received 327 votes.
For Position 2, Mike Bass received 2,451 votes to Ted Stanley’s 1,792 votes.
In the hotly-contested race for Position 3, Jeff Long sits at the top of the heap with 1,808 votes; Jay Mac Sanders had 1,006; Tim Nutt garnered 722 votes; Roland Borey received 500 and Margarita Chavez received 231 votes.
For Position 4, incumbent Ed Robb was able to hold on to his seat by edging out John Risher with 2,382 votes to Risher’s 2,095.
Official results won’t be released until the election is canvassed on May 23 when the Township Board meets at 6 p.m. at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd.
One incumbent stays, another goes.
