Wells Fargo sponsors Memorial Day fest fireworks
THE WOODLANDS, Texas –– Wells Fargo has stepped up to sponsor the extravagant firework display during “Memorial Day in The Woodlands,” a free live music event on May 26 and 27
The event is for 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Waterway Square and fireworks will light up the sky at 8:55 p.m. both evenings.
This is the second year Wells Fargo will serve as a presenting sponsor during the Memorial Day festivities. Wells Fargo operates ten branches in the The Woodlands area.
“Sponsoring the Memorial Day fireworks provides a great opportunity for Wells Fargo to support The Woodlands community and honor our American soldiers,” said Glenn Godkin, Wells Fargo Greater Houston Regional president. “Last year’s event was spectacular and we look forward to another great success for 2012.”
Residents can bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy sounds from local country favorite, The Shelia Marshall Band, as the group takes to the stage on Saturday, May 26 from 6 p.m. – 7:20 p.m. followed by the cover band, Rapture, from 7:40 p.m. – 8:55 p.m.
The event continues on Sunday with live music from Houston’s party band, 11th Hour, from 6 p.m – 7:20 pm. Another Houston favorite, Park Avenue, will perform hits from the ’60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s and today from 7:40 p.m. -8:55 p.m.
Memorial Day in The Woodlands is free and open to the public.
Limited, free curbside parking is available along Lake Robbins Drive, Waterway Avenue, Waterway Square Place, and Timberloch Place. Additional parking is available at the 24 Waterway Parking Garage (corner of Fountain Plaza & Lake Robbins Drive), the Waterway Square Parking Garage (between Fountain Plaza and Woodloch Court) and the parking lot at the corner of Waterway Avenue and Timberloch Place, prices vary.
