THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Montgomery County residents will have an additional venue to ‘dosey doe’ to the music with the expansion of Dosey Doe’s mid-county coffee shop just seven miles north of the original location, or the “Big Barn.”

Trying to sandwich in the homegrown talent at the original site, 25911 I-45 North, has been a challenge with a calendar filled with national acts. The renovation sets the stage for local and regional singers and/or musicians to showcase their talent at the Dosey Doe Music Café located at 463 FM 1488, just west of I-45 North.

Open just this past month, the café differs from the original site in that it will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a distinctively different menu described as “country cooking with twist,” as created by Chef Dan McEachern.

The décor is equally as attractive as the "Big Barn," featuring antiques, which includes a late 1800s bar from England. Dosey Doe understands music and how it should sound; the acoustics rival that of any music venue. Likewise, presentation is everything. Floor to ceiling curtains part to start the show, and you’ll swear you’re at the Grand Ole Opry. Reasonable prices for both the menu and shows will make the Doesy Doe Music Café every bit as popular as its predecessor.

Dosey Doe Manager, Michael Ford, said, “People like this type of venue with quality food and great entertainment. We’ll replicate this model again wherever there appears to be a demand.”

Seating capacity at the Music Café is 150, a good size for an intimate evening with the entertainers. To find out when your favorite local act will be performing, view the the website.
