Movie review: 'Fast & Furious 6'

“Fast & Furious 6," the sixth installment in the "Fast and Furious" franchise, captured the attention of the public once again with its action-packed trailer and adventurous story line. The trailer features high energy scenes and tackles a whole new story line. “Fast & Furious 6” focuses on Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family teaming together with Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) to take out a new criminal, Shaw (Luke Evans), who has a few ruthless tricks up his sleeve that you will not see coming.

This film is packed with fast cars, army tanks, guns, and cargo planes. There’s never a dull moment and you'll find yourself gripping the edge of your seat most of the movie. The gang is all still here; including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, and Michelle Rodriguez. The twists in the movie continue to surprise you and keep you guessing. At the end of “Fast Five,” the audience is teased with an old character, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), who was believed to be dead, however, that may not be the case.

This story is set mostly in London after the gang is called back together from their luxurious lifestyles; Toretto and Hobbs join forces to take down an international criminal. Family has never been more important to Toretto, but that is also his one downfall. Shaw takes advantage of this weakness for returning actress, Letty, Dominic’s ‘dead’ lover. Although there are some ludicrous scenarios involving perfect timing and perfect landings, there are also some extremely real emotions portrayed throughout the film. This movie features exceptional acting that brings out your innermost emotions.

Overall this high-speed, high-adventure series will enthrall you all the way through. Dominic and Hobbs teaming together has brought fighting, car chases, and family to a whole new level. Just when you think it’s done, there’s still room for more. This is a must see movie for anyone who enjoys action, adventure, and of course, fast cars.
