THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The South Montgomery County YMCA Early Childhood Development Center recently hosted their annual pre-kindergarten graduation ceremony. The young graduates were the 27th class to graduate. The center opened in Fall of 1986. These children are our future leaders; “The Class of 2026”.

Voted the Best Child Care in The Woodlands 2013 in Woodlands Online Best of The Woodlands contest, The YMCA Early Childhood Development Center program provides enriching experiences which facilitate a child’s cognitive, social, physical and emotional growth. We strive to meet the developmental needs and temperament of each individual child by working in partnership with families. YMCA Early Childhood Development programs, licensed by the State of Texas, provide curriculum focused on education, leadership and character development.

With so many demands on today’s families, parents need all the support they can get. That’s why each child care at the Y is about more than looking after kids. It’s about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y vales of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith.

Registration is now open for the Summer and Fall program. (Limited space available) The Early Childhood Development Center offers a full day care program for children ages 12 months – Pre-Kindergarten. In partnership with Conroe ISD, the YMCA offers after school care at all elementary and flex schools in South County including the new Ann Snyder campus. The YMCA also offers an after school program at the Creekside Elementary, Tomball ISD, in The Woodlands Creekside Village.
