COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Skies were threatening but it was a high-powered A&M Consolidated team that gave the College Park High School football team the most trouble on Friday. The hosting Tigers rolled to a 41-7 victory over the Cavaliers in a District 14-5A matchup.

It was a 6-0 game midway through the second quarter before the Tigers (5-2, 3-1) erupted for three touchdowns before halftime on a long drive, a long touchdown run, and a 1-yard plunge following College Park's high snap that sailed over the punter's head.

The lead ballooned to 34-0 after three quarters and it was 41-0 in the fourth quarter before Nicholas Black broke off a 74-yard touchdown run to get the Cavaliers on the scoreboard.

College Park (4-3, 1-2) hosts Lufkin at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Woodforest Bank Stadium.
