College Park spikes A&M Consolidated
THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The College Park High School volleyball team made it very clear on Friday at home who would claim sole possession of second place in the District 14-5A standings.
The Lady Cavaliers turned away A&M Consolidated, 3-1, at home to improve to 7-2 in district play (21-9 overall) while knocking the Lady Tigers (6-4) to fourth place - a half-game behind third-place Oak Ridge (6-3), which swept Conroe on Friday.
Alyssa McNeely and Maya Arguez combined for 30 kills while Hannah Erwin and Andi Platt got together to hand out a combined 49 assists as College Park won, 25-17, 25-15, 24-26, 29-27.
The Lady Cavaliers visit Lufkin on Tuesday before hosting No. 1 state- and nationally-ranked The Woodlands at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25.
