Student Athletes of the Week - November 12th

The WOL Sports Student Athletes of the Week presented by Mr. Rooter are senior outside hitter Madison McDaniel of The Woodlands High School and senior wide receiver Tyler Patrick of The Woodlands High School.

Madison McDaniel - Senior Outside Hitter - The Woodlands HS

Madison helped lead The Woodlands High School volleyball team to two playoff wins last week. Madison totaled 28 kills in the Highlanders two playoff sweeping wins over Klein Collins and Pflugerville Hendrickson, respectively. The Highlanders are now 40-0 and will play Kingwood (27-5) in the regional quarterfinals on Tuesday, November 12, at Porter High School at 6:30 p.m..

Tyler Patrick - Senior Wide Receiver - The Woodlands HS

Tyler had five touchdowns and helped lead The Woodlands High School football team to a 46-21 win over Oak Ridge Friday night. Patrick totaled 5 receptions for 129 yards and four touchdowns along with a 61-yard punt-return for a touchdown against the War Eagles. The win clinched the outright district championship for the Highlanders. Tyler helps lead The Woodlands into the 2013 postseason on Friday, November 15, against Klein (6-4) in the Class 5A Division I Bi-District round of the playoffs versus Klein at 7:00 p.m. at Woodforest Bank Stadium.
