Ranging from children’s fiction to adult fantasy and romance, the festival will be relevant for readers of all ages. There will be 48 authors participating at the event and will feature three keynote speakers.

Jenny Trout, a USA Today bestseller, will be the opening keynote author, followed by Ridley Pearson as the luncheon keynote author. Pearson is a New York Times bestseller who has written both adult thrillers and children’s fiction. Author Marissa Meyer, best known for The Lunar Chronicles, will conclude the festival as the closing keynote speaker.

Other authors at the Literary Love Fest will include Cassandra Rose Clarke, Mira Dessy, and Jerry Hatchett. Jennifer Bray-Weber, a native Texan who was raised in the Spring area, will also be present.

Throughout the day, the festival will be complete with book sales & signings, writing workshops, concessions, music, and vendors.

Children can explore the Kid’s Zone complete with storytellers, activities and crafts. There will also be a special Teen Zone where young adult readers can mingle with authors, take photos in the photo booth, and get some great giveaways.

There will also be ten panels which will each be repeated twice during three breakout sessions, and two of those panels will be dedicated solely to older-elementary and middle school readers.

Admission to the festival is free, but be sure to register upon arrival for a chance to win prizes.

“We will be giving away two Kindles throughout the day,” Tabatha Perry, President of the Montgomery County Book Festival, said. “You will receive an armband when you register with a number on it, which will give you the chance to win a prize.”

The event will be hosted at Lone Star College-Montgomery, located at 3200 College Park Dr. from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and admission is free.

The festival not only celebrates authors and their books, but the readers as well. Be sure to swing by to listen to great authors, explore different genres, and have an overall great time with a chance to win some prizes!
