MCYS seeks superheroes to help kids in need

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- On May 8th, women of Montgomery County are invited to participate in the 16th annual MCYS Ladies Night Out. Ladies Night Out is a fun event that raises funds for Montgomery County Youth Services.

MCYS is a non-for-profit organization that provides crisis counseling, shelter programs and prevention services in order to strengthen families, keep youth in school and prepare them to be productive citizens. MCYS has been helping children and families for 35 years, but it would not be possible without the help from citizens.

“The heart of this evening is Montgomery County Youth Services and the amazing work it does for our area kids in need,” Patti Rivela, chair of the event, said.

Ladies Night Out is a women’s-only event and this year’s theme is superheroes! Complete with dancing, a hula-hoop contest, a silent auction and just an overall fun experience, Ladies Night Out will definitely be a night to remember. The Ladies Night Out event is for women only, but kids, men, and women, can all enter the contest. It’s a bird? It’s a plane? No, Its Superheroes in Montgomery County doing good deeds for area kids!

As part of MCYS' 16th annual Ladies Night Out, MCYS is looking for the community to nominate local superheroes who help kids- even Kids who help Kids! We are asking you to submit their name, brief description of why you are nominating them and a photo. Winners will be announced at the 16th Annual Ladies Night Out – Super Heroes for Kids, Thursday, May 8, 2014 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.
