THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The College Park Cavaliers baseball team continued tournament play Saturday morning facing the Allen Eagles in the Wings ’N More Classic Tournament.

The morning did not get off to a good start for Cavalier pitcher Colin Cameron as Allen second-baseman Kyler Murray takes the first pitch of the ball game over the left-field fence and Allen leads 1-0. The next two batters get on base for Allen and then Eagle right-fielder Ryan Hoogerwerf hits a three-run home run and just like that Allen has a 4-0 lead with no one out in the 1st-inning. Cameron would settle down, giving up just one hit in his next nine batters, however the Cavalier offense couldn’t get anything going.

College Park had a threat going in the third-inning as Cameron leads off with a single, Cody Perez walks, Chandler Morris singles and College Park has the bases loaded, however Jacob Mardick grounds into the inning ending double-play to end the Cavalier threat.

Ryder Lucas comes in to pitch the top of the fourth-inning for College Park and Allen gets another big inning. A walk, single and error on throw, scores an Eagle, followed by hit by pitch and three more singles, Allen gets five runs in the 4th-inning to take a commanding 10-0 lead.

The Cavaliers wouldn’t threaten in the 5th and Allen sends College Park to their third straight loss 10-0 in five-innings.

The Cavaliers fall to 9-6 overall and will face Georgetown to close out the 2014 Wings ’N More classic.
