THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The monthly breakfast meeting of the Montgomery County Association of Business Women (MCABW) is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, at Eye Health Consultants, 1111 Medical Plaza Dr, Ste. 110 in The Woodlands, 77380.

Kandas Nesbitt-Rodarte, a blogger as well as podcast and YouTube Talk Show host, will serve as guest speaker.

Her presentation will be entitled: “Pitch Your Business to Your Networking Group without Putting Anyone to Sleep.”

“I will be facilitating a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves, 20-minute pitch-writing workshop,” Nesbitt-Rodarte said. “Each participant will write an attention-grabbing 30 to 60 second business pitch with a compelling call to action.”

Nesbitt-Rodarte has been a business owner for more than 16 years – and created a client list that included celebrities and Fortune 500 executives.

“For most of those years, I failed to send thank you cards to my clients, even though I knew I should, because I hate my handwriting,” she admitted. “Then I was introduced to SendOutCards. Now I can create my thank you card online, and it is printed, stuffed, stamped and mailed for me. I can even include a gift. Now EVERY client receives a thank you card!”

Nesbitt-Rodarte now teaches entrepreneurs and sales professionals how to grow their business with gratitude using SendOutCards, a simple, powerful greeting card and gift system.

She also hosts a weekly podcast called “Gratitude Geek,” and interviews artists, business owners, work at home moms and sales professional who are pursuing their passion profitably and a weekly youtube talk show called Coffee & Cards Conversations, interviewing local business owners who use appreciation marketing to shower their clients with gratitude, increasing repeat business and referrals.

All podcasts and videos can be viewed on her blog at http://gratitudegeek.info

Nesbitt-Rodarte is also a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and currently serving as a District Officer for District 56 Toastmasters, representing the greater Houston area.

She has been a member of the MCABW since October 2012.

“There are over 700,000 woman-owned businesses in Texas,” Nesbitt-Rodarte said. “When we cultivate strong relationships with other women-business owners, everyone benefits. Organizations like MCABW are where those relationships start.”

The MCABW is an organization that provides a forum for local businesswomen to develop and enhance professional and personal relationships with their peers. The group holds a breakfast forum the first Tuesday of each month, a mixer the second Thursday of each month and a monthly luncheon the fourth Tuesday of each month at Incredible Pizza in Conroe. Visitors are invited to attend two MCABW events before joining the organization.
