Godail named TCL pitcher of the week

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Andrew Godail, native of The Woodlands, earned the Strykers’ second-straight Pitcher of the Week award with a pair of dominating performances against the Brazos Valley Bombers. His season debut on June 10 was a doozy: he struck out 15 in seven innings against only five hits and no walks, but took the hard-luck loss as a result of a pair of unearned runs.

Five days later, the junior left-hander earned the win in Brazos Valley, striking out nine in six-innings while allowing a lone unearned run. In just one week, the Sam Houston State product is now leading the TCL in ERA and he’s second in the league in strikeouts.

The Strykers begin a four-game home stand on Tuesday, June 17 against the East Texas Pump Jacks at 7:05pm.
