The Woodlands, TX- June 19, 2014- While most children are dreaming of what they will receive on their birthday, 6 year old Cecilia Kloesel dreamed of what could be given. No presents were received on her special day; instead donations were collected to benefit families of PACN (Pregnancy Assistance Center North.)

"This wasn’t an act of kindness to provoke praise. Cecilia has a special place in her heart for babies and wanted those she invited to her party to give to a greater cause. Not only were we able to celebrate her special day at the party but also the gift of life," stated Beverly Kloesel, mom of Cecilia.

During 2013, PACN had over 1600 client visits for those participating in Vouch for Success (VFS), a self-paced educational program in which clients receive vouchers that are exchanged for needed baby items. In addition, 1322 client visits were those participating in the parenting, childbirth, relationship and support group classes.

“We love PACN because it is a hand-up agency, not a hand-out agency,” Kloesel said. “Our family believes that ‘to whom much is given, much is expected.’ Through our circle, Cecilia understands that not all babies are born into the same circumstance so she decided to do something about it.”

Cecilia collected diapers, baby items and a monetary donation to help moms, dads and babies of PACN.

Individuals, churches and businesses are a critical part of PACN's success. With over 52 supporting churches and 144 volunteers that donate their time weekly, PACN is grateful for those that have the vision to serve and empower others in our community just like Cecilia.

No matter your age, you can make a difference.
