THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Summer programs are in full swing at the Interfaith of The Woodlands Child Development Center. Students are enjoying fun-filled splash days on the newly renovated playgrounds and learning while older children participate in field trips to area museums, sculpture gardens, movies, bowling and more. “The atmosphere at the center may be a bit more relaxed, but learning is still going on all around, as the children play, explore, and create memories with one another,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands.

While the children enjoy fun and sun, center leadership is busy planning for fall including hiring new staff, developing innovative curriculum, and planning an exciting and energizing in-service day for teachers at the annual ‘Heart n Soul’ training event held each year in August.

New and returning students will soon be returning to school with full day programs beginning. The full day programs start on August 25 along with the school age children in before and after-school programs, with partial and school day preschool children begin the day after Labor Day, on September 2. Before school starts, children, along with their parents, are invited to come meet their teachers at the annual Cookie Socials.

This year marks ICDC’s 38th year of serving the children and families in The Woodlands. The school is rich in history and tradition, with many teachers on staff celebrating their 20th and 30th anniversary years teaching at the center. School tours are given on Tuesday and Thursday mornings between 9:30 and 11:30 am, on Wednesday afternoons between 1:00 – 2:30 pm, and at other times by appointment. Please call 281-292-3617 to schedule a visit to the center.
