THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Eagle radio station’s morning drive-time team of Dean and Rog, decided to take a trip down memory lane, and wound up at the recently renovated Bowlero bowling alley on I-45N at The Woodlands - Oak Ridge North overpass this Thursday morning, July 24. For nostalgic reasons, the five-hour morning show served up their winning combination of wisecracks, classic rock, and phone scams.

“It’s ‘Throwback Thursday,’ so Rog and I decided to broadcast our show in a place reminiscent of our youth,” said Dean.

The Dynamic Duo of Dean Myers and Roger Beaty have been entertaining morning commuters for over seventeen years in Houston, playing their classic rock favorites, originally on The Arrow 93.7, then moving to The Eagle in 2009, Cox Radio’s KGLK on 106.9 and 107.5 FM. The twosome have been together now, for over a quarter of a century, moving around the country until they found a climate most to their distaste...the heat and humidity of Houston, Texas. The two have not let the weather deter their fundraising efforts, hosting an annual charity golf tournament, and lending their talents around town to numerous charity events.

So popular are these radio personalities that their CD, “The Best of the Dean and Rog Show,” commands a high price on Amazon.com; $39.99 new, $34.98 used. If the price is too steep, free pocket koozies and other promotional items were being given away at Bowlero, along with the opportunity to sit in on a live broadcast. Those in attendance were treated to a free game in the lanes.

Dean and Rog occasionally make a trek to The Woodlands. The last two trips were to the Market Street area for community and charity events. If you enjoy their morning radio show on your morning commute, their banter in a live setting is even more entertaining. Hopefully they won’t wait too long to return to the big “W.”
