MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- The Montgomery County Association of Business Women (MCABW) is taking its motto, “Women Helping Women,” a step further by initiating a mentoring program to ensure the success of its members, both in their professional careers and their personal lives.

New mentoring program to ensure success in business and in life.

The mentoring program was conceived by MCABW member, Dawn Candy, to provide more one-on-one time among the members, and further the networking process.

“This team is designed to help women become involved and engaged in the community through relationship-building and effective networking. The mentoring team will meet in a one-on-one environment, and teach interested members how to navigate their membership for maximum benefits and exposure for their business, nonprofit or community organization,” said MCABW Board Member, Stephanne Davis.

A Mentoring Team of community and business leaders will spearhead the program, and include: (left to right in photo) Helen Thornton, Carolyn Gray, Donna Rodriguez, Dawn Candy, Anna Ryan, Stephanne Davis, Amy Cooper, and Carol Gooch. Other MCABW members are encouraged to take an active role in the mentoring program.

A beneficial side effect of the program is that if women are doing well in the careers, they feel more self-confident, and other aspects of their lives will improve.

“If women are successful in their careers, it will improve their mental well-being which has a direct bearing of physical wellness as well,” said the founder and Executive Director of the MCABW, Carol Gooch, M.S., LPC, LCDC, LMFT, the Director of Business Development for Aspire Hospital.

The MCABW is open to all women in the community...business women, stay-at-home moms, retirees...and woman who realizes the value of the fellowship and support of other woman.
