THE WOODLANDS, Texas -– Fall fashions and trendy tips will be the topics of discussion at the next meeting of the Montgomery County Association of Business Women (MCABW).

Sandy Booker presents season’s trends and shopping advice

Sandy Booker will serve as the guest speaker at the organization’s monthly coffee meeting, scheduled for 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at Eye Health Consultants, 1111 Medical Plaza Dr, Ste. 110 in The Woodlands, 77380.

Booker is a consultant for CAbi (Carol Anderson by invitation), a designer fashion line.

“It’s all sold in homes, in a relaxed, casual environment,” Booker said. “It’s really high-end, yet affordable, clothing.”

She will share CAbi designs with women at the MCABW meeting. She will also speak on how to dress for any body type – and make the most of make-up and accessories.

“I’m going to talk about how to build a professional wardrobe with a minimal amount of pieces,” she added.

Booker also works as a wellness consultant at The Woodlands Institute of Health and Wellness.

“I want to help women felel good on the inside and look good on the outside,” she said. “If you don’t feel well, it doesn’t matter what type of clothes you wear.”

Booker has been a member of the MCABW for the past year – and said she enjoys the networking opportunities that the group provides.

“This is a service-oriented, community-oriented group,” she said. “They work to help the community through the scholarship program and other outreach opportunities. That’s important to me.”

The MCABW provides a forum for local businesswomen to support each other – both in their professional and personal lives. The group holds a mixer the second Thursday of each month as well as a monthly luncheon the fourth Tuesday of each month at Incredible Pizza in Conroe. Visitors are invited to attend two MCABW events before joining the organization.
