THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Last year, the Wolf Family presented Memorial Hermann The Woodlands with $12,000 toward Wolf Park, and this year their eighth annual Jack Wolf, IV Memorial Golf Tournament raised another $15,000 for the park.

John and Paige Wolf's son, Jack, was born prematurely on May 5, 2005, with osteogenesis imperfecta (OI). The tournament is held in memoriam of Jack who passed away from OI, and funds raised each year benefit other families with babies in the NICU. Since the tournament's inception more than $87,000 has been raised for the NICU and related projects at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands. The couple has since had two children at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, Max (age 6) and Remi (age 3).

The Wolf Park project at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands is in the planning stages and will be located in a courtyard in front of Medical Plaza 1, near the hospital's Richard Rivas, MD Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Family Birth Center. The park will be secure and fenced with access through the hospital, and will feature a playground, picnic tables, lighting and more.

Wolf Park, located on the south side of the campus, would be open to pediatric patients and other children. It would also be a place for NICU parents to take a break nearby and for staff and visitors as well. Wolf Park was also selected in June to be the beneficiary of the annual Employee Campaign project for Memorial Hermann The Woodlands too - and staff raised more than $61,000 to support it. Memorial Hermann The Woodlands also currently features a Healing Garden on the north side of its campus.
