Entergy Texas CEO leads 2014 Montgomery County United Way campaign

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - Montgomery County United Way will have more power behind its campaign this year. Sallie Rainer, Chief Executive Officer of Entergy Texas, Inc. has been selected as the 2014 – 2015 Campaign Chair.

Rainer, has been a loyal advocate and contributor, and currently serves as a member of the Board at MCUW. In addition to a 30 year career with Entergy she has served as a loaned executive with United Way of Greater New Orleans early in her career and was also the host of MCUW’s Women’s Leadership Council’s inaugural “In Her Shoes” luncheon in 2013.

Entergy Texas, Inc.’s philanthropic focus is to improve the quality of life in communities where Entergy operates through strategic investments in education, low- income initiatives, environmental programs and diversity and inclusion programs. Partnering with MCUW for more than 10 years in a variety of capacities, Entergy Texas, Inc. has contributed over $2,065,000.00 to help strengthen and support the Montgomery County community. Rainer expressed, “I am excited about the opportunity to take the lead on this year’s campaign. The work of MCUW supports many aspects of Entergy Texas’ values and we are excited to help make a greater local impact. It is important that the communities we live and work in grow and prosper. It takes the whole community working together to achieve the goals MCUW is striving for and I am proud to be a part of their effort and invite everyone in the county to join us.”
