The McClung Group is helping the community through YMCA's Operation Backpack

As a young kid I remember the days headed up to the first day of school and the fears that go along with it. Coming from a single parent family, money was always tight and I remember the stress of not having the necessary clothes or supplies for the new school year. Lucky for me, my grandma Martha always came through with a last minute shopping spree to Foleys (I date myself). Little did I know until my adulthood that she would finance this excursion and then work on paying it off over the rest of the year! We are blessed to be in a wonderful community, but there are still kids in our local area that are faced with these same fears that I had as a kid and we are fortunate to be in a situation to give back to the community and especially to the children. The last 3 years we have supported the YMCA in this great cause and are proud that we were able to donate over 100 backpacks this year so those kids can have the proper supplies they need and feel good about their first day of school and are excited about going to school and learning. - Justin McClung
