THE WOODLANDS, Texas – There’s still time to reserve a spot in a fall workshops at The Woodlands Children’s Museum.

There are a variety of offerings that explore a range of subjects – from art and dance to science and culture -- for ages 4 to 8.

While the Legos and Robotics courses filled up right away, there are plenty of spots available in other workshops at the museum.

Children ages 4 and 5 may join the Playful Processes workshop on Tuesdays. The class is based on the theory that children should have some control over the direction of their learning – and that children learn the most by touching, moving, listening, seeing and hearing.

Children are allowed to explore and will discover endless ways to express themselves. Activities include lacing, stacking, simple building, matching and memory.

For children ages 6 to 10, the Science Club offers plenty of chances for investigation, observation, measurement, identification and discovery. The young scientists meet on Tuesdays to explore weather, planets, magnets and rocketry.

For young Picassos and van Goghs, the museum has formed the ARTrageous Club. Children ages 6 to 10 meet on Mondays to create art together and individually. They learn to use a variety of artistic media and learn facts about different artists.

“We’ve created a full line-up of fun and educational workshops for the fall,” Angela Colton, executive director of The Woodlands Children’s Museum, said. “Don’t miss out on this great opportunity for children to explore art, culture and science.”

Located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280, in The Woodlands, 77381, the museum offers educational exhibits, a full calendar of exciting activities and a cool space for creative play during the summer.
