Get to know ORHS head football coach, Dereck Rush

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Oak Ridge War Eagles play The Woodlands Highlanders this Friday, and we had a chance to sit down with Coach Rush and ask him some questions to get an inside look on the War Eagles Football coach.

--Mississippi State Bulldogs

--I have a wife named Angel, and two daughters, Trinity and Addisyn.

What position did you play in high school?

--I was a linebacker and wide receiver.

Do you have hobbies outside of football?

-- I look to hunt, fish and spend time with the family.

Do you have a favorite quote?

--“Actions speak louder than words.”

If you had to describe your team in one word, what would it be?

--“Hard-working”

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

--Chocolate

If you weren’t coaching, what other career would you be doing?

--I would be a DPS officer

--My father
