MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- Hallaron Advertising’s Director of Business Development and Brand Strategy, Nikki Farese, has been volunteering time and expertise with The Friendship Center recently guiding a rebrand project for the nonprofit organization. Farese is working with The Friendship Center’s Executive Director, Allison Hulett, board members and staff to re-define the organization’s strategy and update its brand.

Hallaron's Director of Business Development and Brand Strateg, Nikki Farese, volunteers expertise to rebrand the Friendship Center.

According to Hulett, “Our organization really struggles with marketing, identity and mission. Our brand was confusing and even misleading. Nikki came in, and used a very focused method to completely overhaul our branding so that we can connect with the community in a very effective way. This is a game changer for us as we rely on community support for our survival, and our clients rely on us for vital services. The fact that she volunteered her time and expertise blew us away. We feel very lucky to have her help since we could not have paid for this level of branding expertise otherwise.”

Through the rebrand, The Friendship Center will be better positioned to communicate the brand as it is today and aspires to be in the future. Many things have changed since 1973. Seniors’ needs have changed significantly, and The Friendship Center has evolved its offerings to meet the greatest possible need in the community.

“The best brands are the ones that understand their purpose, communicate their value and deliver their brand experience. The Friendship Center has a great brand that few people understand and know about. We are changing that with this project,” says Farese. The Friendship Center started providing services to the county’s seniors in 1973. Since then, the organization has grown and its services have changed substantially. Today, The Friendship Center serves over 10,000 hot meals to homebound seniors across Montgomery County each month through its Meals on Wheels program.

With over 400 volunteers who help the organization meet this demand every week, The Friendship Center is reliant on individuals and companies to donate time and resources. Without a daily meal, transportation for medical visits and other vital errands, and group dining at three partner facilities (Conroe, New Caney and The Woodlands), many of these seniors would not be able to maintain their independence, dignity and well-being.
