THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The past weekend's Montgomery County Cattle Baron’s Ball raised over $120,000 to support the Society’s mission of saving lives from cancer. The Cattle Baron’s Ball, which moved back into The Woodlands and was hosted at the newly renovated Woodlands Resort and Convention Center for the first time, included well over 300 attendees, community volunteers, committee members and local entertainers. Linda Crumley, the event chair, attributed the ball’s success to hard work from their volunteer organizers, an “amazing” underwriting and auction committee and an energy sparked by the new location and some young professionals who jumped into the cause 100 percent from day one. “I can’t express my gratitude to our committee members, some of whom spent over 16 months working towards the success of this event tonight!” she exclaimed. “Without them, this event would not have been the overwhelming success that it is this evening!

The “Raising Hope” themed Gala featured country recording artist, Aaron Watson as the main entertainer and he did not disappoint appearing at a meet and greet at the VIP party, listening to song requests at the main stage and entertaining guests with many photo opportunities throughout the evening. “I know that we all have been affected in some way by this terrible disease called Cancer and I am happy to be with you Raising Hope for a cure tonight” stated Aaron Watson from the stage after singing his country hit, July in Cheyenne on the main stage in the Grand Ballroom at the Resort.

The evening started out with a VIP reception at 6:00 pm underwritten by Endeavor Oil, LLC and entertainment provided by local favorites, The Daniel Blanchard Band with Special Guest, Jimmy Hunter and was held in The Glass room of the resort.
