THE WOODLANDS, Texas - In the spirit of celebrating life’s blessings during the holiday season, CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital will host its annual Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) reunion celebration for the hospital’s NICU graduates and their families on Sunday, December 7. The event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center located at 1601 Lake Robbins Drive.

Highlighting the reunion will be a special appearance by Santa Claus along with photo opportunities, holiday craft activities, refreshments, and giveaways. Parents and graduates as well as hospital staff, NICU nurses, and neonatologists from CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital are invited to attend and can RSVP to Debra Staley, Manager, Marketing, Community Relations and Executive Health, CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital, via the icon below.

The hospital’s NICU supports premature and sick newborns who need extra care. Medical specialists from Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) are on campus to manage the hospital’s pediatric care, including emergency and inpatient care. In most cases, newborns who need specialized medical attention can be treated close to home at CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital, without having to travel to the Texas Medical Center.

In addition to newborn medical care, CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital is the only hospital in the area to offer board-certified pediatric emergency room physicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week. TCH also has a specialty medical clinic on the hospital campus, offering outpatient care from a variety of board-certified pediatric physicians representing 15 different specialties, including cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, ophthalmology, as well as physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy.

“We are so fortunate to have Texas Children’s Hospital, the Junior League of North Harris and South Montgomery Counties, our hospital auxiliary, The Woodlands Mall, The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, HEB, and Kroger as partners for this heartfelt event,” said Debra Staley, Manager, Marketing, Community Relations and Executive Health, CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital. “Among the more than 60 community and hospital events that we host or participate in each year, the NICU Reunion is by far my favorite, having myself been the mother of premature twin boys born 20 years ago. There is an incredible amount of joy in the room as the physicians and nurses get to see their former tiny patients thriving and enjoying the celebration.”

CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital is located at 17200 St. Luke’s Way at the southwest corner of Interstate 45 and State Highway 242. For more information, call 936-266-2000 or visit the link provided below.
